Below you find information about how publishers, biocurators and librarians, authors and resource providers can participate in the Resource Identification Initiative. A person or organization can participate in one or multiple ways.

What does it mean to be an endorser?

  • You will be invited to provide feedback on outreach materials and system function.
  • Your publisher or journal logo will be displayed on our website.
  • Your organization or journal may be used in communications about the project.
  • You support the mission of the project
  • Identify beta testers: we are looking for people who can help us test the workflow we are recommending to authors and take a quick survey about the process.
    • Note- free gifts are offered to all beta testers!

Researcher/Author

Researchers/Authors, if you are in the process of submitting an article for publication, we would encourage your participation by including the Research Resource Identifiers in your methods section.

What does it mean to be an endorser?

  • You support the mission of the project
  • Your organization or journal may be used in communications about the project.
  • Your publisher or journal logo will be displayed on our website.
  • You will be invited to provide feedback on outreach materials and system function.
  • Identify beta testers: we are looking for people who can help us test the workflow we are recommending to authors and take a quick survey about the process.
    • Note- free gifts are offered to all beta testers!
  • If you work with authors during the submission process, encourage them to include the Resource Identification IDs in their manuscript, prior to publication.
  • Promote the project to your patrons, at library events, etc.

  • After authors have submitted a paper to your journal, ask them to include the Resource Identification IDs in their manuscript, prior to publication. Include the recommended citation for these resources in the keywords section of the manuscript.
